Potholes across Lancaster and Wyre are driving us all mad at the moment.
I’ve been reporting some of the worst ones on the Love Clean Streets app, but residents shouldn’t have to do this just to get basic road repairs sorted.
For 2025/26, Lancashire County Council has been given £46.8 million from central government for highways maintenance and potholes, and have announced their plan to spend over £61 million in total on our roads – including around £28 million specifically for repairing potholes and defects.
We need to see that investment making a real difference in Lancaster and Wyre. In the meantime, please do keep reporting issues and telling Lancashire County Council that the current state of our roads simply isn’t good enough.
