This week I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Rainbows at the Shireshead Scout Hut!
Earlier this year I took part in a national Duolingo challenge for MPs, and after many late nights practising my French, I was lucky enough to win securing £10,000 for Lancaster and Garstang Girlguiding division.
As a former Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger myself, it was really special to celebrate this win with the Rainbows and to see first-hand how Girlguiding continues to inspire and empower the next generation of girls.
This funding will help support more opportunities for young people locally, building confidence, resilience and leadership skills in safe, supportive spaces.
