Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a book launch at the Gregson Centre to celebrate a wonderful new book about the history of the Centre, led by Dr Matt Cole. The book captures the Gregson’s rich history as an invaluable community hub, a place that has meant so much to so many of us over the years.
I was beyond honoured to be asked to write the foreword for the book, where I reflected on my own encounters with the Gregson and the many fond memories it has given me. The Centre has always been a place full of life whether that’s chatting with friends, enjoying a delicious meal, or taking part in the wide variety of activities and events it has to offer.
Now, thanks to this book, everyone has the chance to dive into the Gregson’s story and take home a piece of its history. Even better, all proceeds from sales go directly back into the Centre, helping to sustain and strengthen this treasured community asset for many years to come.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Charles for inviting me to be part of this project, and to Dr Matt Cole for your incredible research and dedication in bringing the Gregson’s story to life
