It was such a pleasure to visit Lancaster Delivery Office last week and spend some time with our fantastic posties.
One of the highlights was joining Lindsey on part of her round near the castle. In just 20 minutes, I saw for myself how many people know and appreciate her, there were smiles and waves everywhere we went. After more than 20 years in the job, Lindsey told me she still loves it, and it’s clear the community loves her right back.
Our posties work incredibly hard in all weathers, carrying heavy loads and keeping the system moving, often behind the scenes. They’re a vital part of our community, and it was lovely to hear about their experiences and dedication.
A big thank you to everyone at the Delivery Office for the warm welcome and if you’ve ever thought about becoming a postie, Lancaster is currently recruiting.
