Over the past year or so I have been pushing Lancashire County Council to resurface Bowerham Roundabout, reporting multiple potholes both on and around it.
I said at the time that it was ridiculous that LCC highways engineers have had to come to the same spot more than three times to plaster over a individual potholes, and so I’m thrilled that they have finally taken action and refreshed the roundabout, including repainting the faded white and yellow lines!
I reported the issue using the Love Clean Streets app, which is a great tool for reporting local issues like potholes, blocked drains, fallen trees, and broken streetlights etc. Please do download the app on your smart device and create an account for easy reporting!
Even more incredibly, this was done earlier the same day that storm Éowyn was bearing down on the area, and so I’m incredibly grateful to all the LCC highways engineers who were out and about in extremely challenging conditions to make sure that not only was the road network clear of blockages like fallen trees, but still continuing with the day-to-day jobs of improving our local streets.
