I had the privilege of being shown around the famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home today. Rescue centres like Battersea do a fantastic job stepping in to look after our pets when their owners are forced to find them a new home.
If you’re looking for a new four-legged companion we have a number of fantastic animal rehoming centres in the constituency. Their details are below. If I’ve missed anyone out, let me know and I’ll add you to the list!
And if you’re not in a position to provide a home just yet, they are crying out for other kinds of support – donations of money, food and bedding would be gratefully received.
Rehoming centres say they’re expecting a huge increase in the numbers of animals looking for a new forever home as the cost-of-living crisis deepens and pet owners can’t afford to feed their pets.
